Tanzania  : 5000 Pregnant Girls Drop Out of School

According to the Minister for Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Shukuru Kawambwa, a total of 5,157 girls dropped out of primary schools due to pregnancies last calendar year; with that the number of girls in secondary schools has decreased from 48 to 45 percent.

Poverty Alleviation

To carry out research on the extent of poverty in rural areas, poverty reduction strategies, and appropriate technology.
To organize and develop existing women social groups into self help economic projects groups, aimed at poverty alleviation.
Promote partnership with Government, NGOs, other institutions and interested women development partners to provide funds to meet research, training and seeds money for women and youth initiatives.

Priority Number 1

Provision of Necessary Education.

To sensitize, promote and develop knowledge and practical skills of women in various social economic activities.
Impart knowledge on good health, basic education, civic education, and women rights to women, widows, youth and orphans.
To create a reliable source for modern and global business information.

Priority Number 2

Environmental Conservation

To Promote sustainable environmental development through, provision of necessary skills on preserving of environment, preserving of Lake Victoria and rivers in their communities.

Priority Number 3

HIV/AIDS and Orphans

Enabling communities to identity orphan and provide them with care and basic education.
Identify vulnerable groups such as shermen, bar maids, poor women and girls, sensitize them, for minimizing the spreading of HIV/AIDS.
Enable the victims and the vulnerable groups to start poverty reduction projects.
Eliminate harmful trade, cultural belief and traditional practices as a measure toward reduction of HIV/AIDS and other STDs infections
